What is accessibility?
Accessibility can be defined as a method on how to use a product, service or place by as many people as possible. It’s about making a product, service and place usable to all people no matter what their age, abilities or disabilities are.
How does accessibility impact the FI Digital website?
We have taken every step to ensure that our website is at par with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 (also commonly known as WCAG 2.0).
According to the guidelines, all the information and content provided on our website must be accessible and should be usable for people of all abilities including those with visual, hearing, cognitive and other motor impairments.
What is WCAG 2.0
WCAG 2.0 is a set of rules and guidelines set by the World Wide Web Consortium. The organization creates guidelines and supporting systems for web based consultation with various groups such as private enterprises, government organizations, software developers, and other members.
WCAG 2.0 also defines techniques to create and manage web content in a way that is accessible and usable for people of all abilities including those with visual, hearing, cognitive and other motor impairments.
We strive to make our site user-friendly for all our users by conducting extensive tests on our website. We encourage feedbacks from our user and stakeholders and use the same to change the design, navigation and content of our website. We continue to evolve ourselves and improve the usability of our website to ensure that our user’s needs are met.
Our site has been reviewed for accessibility against the WCAG 2.0 standard requirements. We understand many of our users may use assistive technologies such as screen readers or screen magnifiers to help them read and navigate through our website.
Our site has been modified accordingly to reach out to a wider set of audience.
